FINFRINGE2020 cancelled due to corona pandemic

Turku March 20, 2020

The board of FINFRINGE ry. has decided to cancel the FINFRINGE2020 festival in May 13–17. “We want to take our responsibility as a cultural operator and follow the directives set by the Finnish Government. FINFRINGE wants to protect both the audience and our international performers'', says chairman Sami Rannila.

The search for alternative dates for the fall 2020 has begun. “We had – and still have – an amazing and diverse program coming up. We’ll do our utmost to bring the Icelandic comedians, the Swedish theatres, the Finnish dancers and all the other fantastic performances before a large audience”, says Executive Director Kristina Vahvaselkä. The program was published in the beginning of March and can still be found at the festival’s home page finfringe.fi

Additionally, The Latebloomers Scotland!-tour will be postponed to a later date.

At this time, we would like to thank all our supporters, our audience, all our volunteers and our partners.

We are sorry for any inconvenience the cancellation might cause, but welcome all performers and the audience back with open arms at a later date. The FINFRINGE-team is not defeated, and will return more dashing and more diverse than ever!
