Description: WEIGH / SKEW is a physical exploration of the themes of gravity, falling, skewing, spinning, and supporting. At the heart of the work are a rope and two dancers, whose mutual relationships are linked to themes of power, empathy, sisterhood, play, restriction, and liberation. At the center of the world of movement and the stage image is the dialogue between the vertical and the horizontal and all the possibilities that lie between these two directions.

The ethical themes of Jaatinen and Nieminen's artistic work are friendship, influencing as well as being influenced together, and playfulness. The artistic work of these two artists is framed by ideas of shared understanding and collective wisdom, which have been formed through years of dancing together, rehearsing, and countless moments spent together in movement.
