Description: Kivi – Wedding Ritual

Warmly welcome to the spring wedding in Turku, Finland, to celebrate the marriage between stone and human. Expect speeches, dancing, new acquaintances, and wedding festivities. Spots are limited, so register in time by purchasing a ticket. Dress code for the wedding reception is casual. Please note, that the celebration is toddler-free. Hope to see you at the reception in May <3.

Kivi – Wedding Ritual is a post-humanist, performative wedding celebration created by set designer/scenographer Anna Papinsaari and performer/performance artist Henry Pöyhiä, members of the Tampere-based multidisciplinary art collective Kanvas Kollektiivi. The starting point of the performance has been reflections on equality between human and non-human, temporality, and agency.
