Description: On Saturday, May 16, under the shade of the linden trees on Cathedral Park Terrace, you can see and experience all sorts of things — Finfringe is serving up music, magic and circus acts on this spring evening. Hosted by stand-up comedian Rebecka Vilhonen, come and spend the evening on the sunny terrace and enjoy a variety of surprising performances throughout the night!

MAGIC ON THE TERRACE - Close up magic
Magician Jerry Nyholm, who amazed audiences at Finfringe last year, returns to astonish the crowd at Kirkkopuisto. Diving into the deep end of magic, the performance takes the audience to the darker side of the mind — where even the humor slips into the shadows.


MISS CATASTROPH
Miss Catastroph is the embodiment of disaster — a tragicomic anti-heroine operating at the intersection of clowning and visual art. She appears unexpectedly in public spaces, carrying the weight of the world and inviting the audience to reflect on the relationship between humans and nature. Constructed from plastic and performance, the character carnivalises the crises of our time with ruthless immediacy. Performer: Minni Hirvonen


ALIVE
Alive is a dynamic solo performance by Peruvian artist Cristian Novoa, blending technical mastery, dance, and hypnotic movement. Through a progression of different disciplines, the show builds in intensity and draws viewers into a world of transformation, energy, and flow. The performance combines art, skill, and spectacle into a mesmerizing experience, taking the audience on a visually captivating journey.


CASUELA SHOW
Casuela Show is a high-energy, interactive street theatre and circus performance for all ages by Chilean artist Jonathan Casuela. Blending skilful juggling, comedy, and lively audience participation, the show uses continuous microphone dialogue alongside music to gather, build, and sustain a lively crowd. Featuring juggling with different props, Casuela brings audience members into the action before building momentum toward a spectacular finale!


M. I. LAINE
Singer-songwriter M. I. Laine brings her uninhibited stage presence to Finfringe. Laine’s songs combine powerful storytelling with playful lyrics and insightful melodies. Her debut album, Kiltit tytöt, explores growing up in the shadow of a factory town and gender-based violence from a girl’s perspective. The album will be released in spring 2027, and the first single in April 2026.
