Description: A spring Saturday invites you out to Turku Market Square! Finfringe’s free event for the whole family is full of joy, excitement, and the delights of performance art. Expect, among other things, circus acts that pull you right onto the stage, mesmerizing fire dance, and a highly skilled hobbyhorse! The event is hosted by the tragicomic anti-heroine Miss Catastroph.

LITTOISTEN POSETIIVARI
A nostalgic atmosphere and the magic of mechanical music! Littoisten posetiivari brings lively barrel organ tunes and a touch of old-world charm to the festival. Come and see how the crank turns and the music plays – smiles guaranteed for all ages!


CASUELA SHOW
Casuela Show is a high-energy, interactive street theatre and circus performance for all ages by Chilean artist Jonathan Casuela. Blending skilful juggling, comedy, and lively audience participation, the show uses continuous microphone dialogue alongside music to gather, build, and sustain a lively crowd. Featuring juggling with different props, Casuela brings audience members into the action before building momentum toward a spectacular finale!


ALIVE: FIRE IN FLOW
Alive: Fire in Flow is a dynamic solo fire performance by Peruvian artist Cristian Novoa blending technical mastery, dance, and hypnotic movement with the raw energy of live flame. Through a progression of fire disciplines, the show builds in intensity, drawing audiences into a visually captivating journey with the living element of fire. Progressing through various fire techniques, the performance combines artistry, skill, and spectacle to create a mesmerizing experience that celebrates the timeless human fascination with fire.


TURKU INTERNATIONAL HOBBYHORSE SHOW
Nestori Kyyrä’s hobbyhorse show brings the well-known hobbyhorse trainer Cheval Le Tentereur to the heart of beautiful Turku to present traditional hobbyhorse dressage. Le Tentereur is a descendant of a great family of hobbyhorse enthusiasts and continues his family’s legacy on their ancestral estate on the outskirts of Paris, along the banks of the Seine. Originally from "this side of the Seine” himself, Le Tentereur feels a strong connection with his noble Turku counterparts and can’t wait to swim in our clean river and taste a local bishop’s doughnut!

And best of all – after the performance, you’ll get to hop on a hobbyhorse yourself and learn from Cheval Le Tentereur!
