Finfringe is a part of the EcoCompass environmental management system (EMS)

Finfringe continues the journey towards a performance activity that harms the environment as little as possible. We have come a long way already but now we are making it official. We are a part of the EcoCompass (EMS) certification by the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation. An initial survey was made in September and now we continue to build our activity towards the audit in May 2023 and to obtaining the environmental certificate.

Finfringe 2023 is here again in May

The fifth Finfringe festival will be held May 10-13th in Turku, Finland. The festival will take to the theatre stages of Åbo Svenska Teater, Linnateatteri, Turku City Theatre’s Sopukka -stage, Hansa shopping center as well as the City of Turku’s brand new market square and its surroundings. The international artist application will open in November 2022.

Finfringe supports the Red Cross’ Disaster Relief Fund

The 2022 festival saw the premiere of the 21/45 -Dramatic Entrances -performance, which drew the largest festival audience. The performance built upon the stories of immigrants arriving in Turku in a both funny and touching way. Finfringe festival wants to support the important work done by the Red Cross benefiting the Ukrainian refugees as well as refugees and immigrants from other parts of the world. This is why we donated the whole box-office income of the 21/45 -Dramatic Entrances -performance to the Red Cross disaster relief fund.
