Description: Tonton Triet is a contemporary circus performance that stretches the ways of being in a peculiar and humorous way. Tonton is an orange character that changes, multiplies and morphs. Tonton is something unknown and strange, but also humanlike.

"Tonton" is an invented word and it can refer, for example, to the Finnish word for gnome or to the French word for uncle "tonton". Tonton Triet plays with the images and possibilities created by the character. The performance explores interaction and humanity through the humorous and weird Tonton-character.

At the heart of the performance is open new perspectives and create multi-layered worlds through movement. The performance combines elements of contemporary circus, contemporary dance, Argentine tango and physical theatre to live-music.

The performance has been produced in collaboration with Teatteri Telakka.
